Akwaaba Music dedicated to African music and pop culture, Akwaaba travels throughout the African continent and beyond to find gems and make them accessbile to US audiences. We always jam Akwaaba's new finds like remixes by Appietus.
Palenque Records is one of the best contemporary labels of Afro-Columbian music.
World Circuit Records established itself by producing some of the finest world music albums of the past two decades specializing in music from Cuba and West Africa. We don't have space to list the many artists on the label who we absolutely can't do without! Some of our favorities include Cheikh Lo, Tony Allen, and Ali Farka Toure.
iASO specializes in Latin and World music. All music is recorded live which enhances the freshness and soul! We especially enjoyed Joan Soriano's debut album, El Duque de Bachata.
Cumbancha located in a 1830's farmhouse in Vermont, where it can get very cold, has produced some of the hottest worldwide releases of cross-cultural music. We admire all of their artists and recently showcased tracks and remixes from the Sierra Leone Refugee AllStars and Luisa Maita.
